Adult Outpatient Services

Private, group and family therapies

Gracepoint offers outpatient therapy for adults, children and families at our centrally convenient Seminole Heights location. Before therapy sessions, children often need a place to play and work through their day. Our offices offer separate play areas for children as well as calmer therapeutic waiting areas for adults.

Private and group therapy along with psychiatric evaluation and medication management are available at all Gracepoint outpatient offices.

Have you ever heard of CBT? Learn why therapists may recommend cognitive behavioral therapy. CBT earned scientific points proving as useful as antidepressants for some people. Gracepoint offers intensive CBT therapy in private, group and family settings.

Amethyst Respite Center

Amethyst is an alternative for people historically booked and jailed for open containers, public intoxication, and substance abuse-related loitering. Amethyst Respite Center shares the Drew Park campus. The therapeutic recovery shelter is operated by Gracepoint-ACTS. Clients receive case management and transition planning through an on-site Gracepoint-MHC case manager.

Amethyst houses 30 people for up to 10 days per person. The program helps people under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, Referrals are accepted through law enforcement or ambulance staff only. Contact us

Case Management

Maximizing quality of life, living independently and improving daily functional skills can be a challenge if you have been diagnoses with a serious and persistent behavioral illness. Gracepoint's case managers act as helpers, service brokers and advocates--ensuring adults living with SPMI receive appropriate services for their day-to-day needs. Services are available from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy

Dialectical behavior therapy combines standard cognitive behavioral techniques with distress tolerance, mindfulness and tolerance. This intensive outpatient therapy helps people build emotiional resiliency. In DBT, your therapist is your ally who will show you better alternatives to behaviors and feelings that may be blocking your path to wellness. Contact us

Jail Diversion

Jail Diversion provides case management for severely mentally ill people with or without co-occurring substance abuse who are in jail on misdemeanor charges. Case management begins inside the Hillsborough County Jail. Referrals through the public defender, jail staff, other treatment providers and family.  Gracepoint staff presents cases in video court. Clients may be released to Gracepoint for evaluation and discharge planning. Contact us

Sunset peopleSocial Rehabilitation & Employment

This program provides structured therapeutic activities for four hours a day, five days a week, with some weekend and evening activities also available. Program goals are to improve socialization, communication, coping and relaxation skills, as well as heighten personal care, daily living skills, and employability. The following locations are open from 9am to 1:30pm, Monday through Friday.
