HIPPY (Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters)is a home-based early intervention school readiness program that empowers parents to be their child’s first and most important teacher.
HIPPY is a free, early intervention, school readiness program. HIPPY helps parents transform their homes into interactive learning environments to stimulate cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in children.
Parents dedicate one hour weekly to work one-on-one with a home visitor to learn school readiness skills. Parent(s) agree to 15-20 minutes, 5 days-a-week teaching skills and reading with their child (ages 3 -5 years).
