From our CEO, Joe Rutherford
The COVID-19 pandemic is here and its impacts on our daily lives will continue to emerge in the days and weeks ahead. Each of us can do our part to help slow the spread and protect the health of ourselves and our neighbors.
Please be assured that Gracepoint is open for business and continuing to serve the physical and behavioral health needs of our community.
To do our part in slowing the spread of COVID-19, we have taken steps to protect the health of our clients and employees by minimizing face-to-face contact.
· Most services and care are being provided via Virtual Health - using phones, video and computer technology. Doctors, therapists and case managers are connecting with patients via phone or email to determine the best method for care. If being seen in person is best for you, we'll do our best to accommadate.
· We are assisting with Medication Refills as quickly as possible.
· Central Intake, Adult Detox as well as Child/Adult Crisis Services are open and available 24/7 by calling 813-272-2958, (813-272-2882 Children). Walk-ins are welcome if you are in a mental health crisis at 2212 E. Henry Ave. Tampa, FL 33610
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) offers this helpful page on mental health and coping during COVID-19, full of facts and data about this virus, how to stay healthy, and ways to cope with stress and anxiousness. We encourage you to review this great data. Please check our website for COVID-19 updates at gracepointwellness.org
Please use this time to take care of yourself, your family and check-in on your neighbors.
Joseph Rutherford, CEO, MBA
Effective March 17, 2020
In response to COVID-19, Gracepoint is taking several steps to protect our staff and the general public – in particular the high-risk population we serve at The Coffee Shop. In the interest of mitigating the impact of the virus, services at The Coffee Shop will be temporarily suspended effective Tuesday, March 17, 2020.
We will continue to follow the guidance of public health experts, and we are exploring alternate ways to continue providing services. In the interim, Network Project will still be available to provide referrals and conduct screenings by appointments only. Please call 813-272-2311, or email NetworkProject@gracepointwellness.org
This is a difficult decision, but necessary, as we try to slow the spread of the virus. Please check back for update.
